They made chunky design looks not so chunky, or rather you forget about it being chunky, all the thing they had to compensate for computer performance created a so unique style. I love the chunky turrets the most.
HW game was almost impossible to micro, but you don't have to, it utilizes the good old red alert play style, build heavy tank and rush, in this case build ion frigate and rush. In HW2 they purposefully weakened the frigate and destroyer to give it more balance. I think HW game must use a different way to play sense it was very hard to micro.
Yes clean indeed.I like how you add those lines on the ship. They have the perfect shapes and work very well with the design.I like the color of the ship.I have to say you know what you are doing.Keep up the good work.cheers
The Taiidan ships are almost finished at this point just need a little more work and they would look even more amazing. Realy the real purpose of these illustration was part of my training wheel on coloring, lighting condition in space is very simple and background is just a phony, so I can concentrate on bring out the quality instead of worrying about interaction. Also the Homeworld had a unique art style of colorful spaceships in simple geometry which is a perfect subject for color beginners. This style of spacecraft that was originated from an artist Chris Foss, he was a concept artist worked on Dune, and indirectly influenced Homeworld.
