This looks like it could be a transatmospheric design, capable of operating in both air and space. I like it.
Actually its atmospheric in strict technical sense, but you are free to think whatever it does.
I like it, though this doesn't look as sleek as that F-22 Raptor, but i like this more with those weapon pylons. Rear fin looks cool too, a futuristic shape meets aggressiveness of third generation fighter. I have only one question, when are you going to finish this? Beacause it looks awesome
F22 uses weapon bay instead of pylons, that is why it looks sleek, The 3rd gen fighter got their classic image that is unforgettable, F14/15/16/18 MIG Flanker Euro-fighter... If everything goes well I might finish these this weekend, both of them (the tank too) will be traced with neat line and rendered with my best effort. The only trouble now is a background for the tank, I think can cheat it with dessert or snow.
Yes, those weapon bays are making em look sleek, but doesn't have that fierce edge like the third generations. The tank, i'll like any mechanical designs even if they only has grey backgrounds and shadow below them. But that's just me though, dessert and snow are cool too
I think the problem of weapon bay is they carry less payload than pylons, and rarely allow variety, its kind hard to put different weapon in the same bay, you can't make them too large due to areophysics of fighter planes. They are excellent for stealth and maneuver, but not a replacement for pylons. Although the classic image does not portray, F22 does have optional pylon mounts. Also if you add an external fuel tank, you will need a pylon anyway.
I like the selection of Blended Wing Body, and the canards are a very workable shape in terms of aerodynamics. From what I can see, the engine outlets are 2D vectored thrust, which would increase maneuverability even with a heavy loadout. In all, this would make an excellent mutlirole fighter.
Updated design, I changed a few things, would like to hear your opinion on this one.
Oh thanks, at least you cannot tell this one won;t fly without a degree from areospace engineering.
Very nice work. I'm tring to draw a jetfighter and can i use some ideas and details from your work ?
this is very cool. it looks like something that could fight both in atmospheric and space environments.
What make you think about space? Under wing loads are something not common on spaceships.
I think because it is very heavily armed and has a stocky look to it, but is also very futuristic looking. If the canards were retractable it would be a great shape for reentry. It also appears similar to the Starmax bomber from the 80's cartoon Starcom.
Very very nice, beautiful shape
looks fun to fly around in! Miniguns will be a blast...get it? blast? eheheh- yeah corny joke get over with it...
Of corny joke is fine but what makes you think of miniguns? The gun mounted on plane are freaking huge.
.....we will just call those: the SWAGGANATOR...
you can;t see the apparent guns on plane because they areo physics does not favor the gun;s geometry, so they are all hidden inside a little hole, but they are big freaking guns.
....oh....sounds like the gun that would go HGUDGHDHGHDGHDHG..yeah i don't know, still, looks awesome!
nice i like jets
Very effin cool!!!
That is epic!!!
thanks but please save the epic for the finished work.
Uh, is this a Fishman or the Eurofighter Typhoon?
i'll wait for the finished version, looking cool so far!
I will straighten up those lines and give the best render I can put, both this and the tank.
Can't wait to see it rolling out!
I wish I can get done this weekend, I don't have time everyday.
same here, i have so little time for my own projects that they actually stopped this semester. what else can i say, university assignments are time consuming..
Sweet. Is it purely atmospheric, or is it spaceworthy as well?
Wow! Fishman looks extremely similar to a design I made a long time ago. Awesome.
