I like it, though this doesn't look as sleek as that F-22 Raptor, but i like this more with those weapon pylons. Rear fin looks cool too, a futuristic shape meets aggressiveness of third generation fighter. I have only one question, when are you going to finish this? Beacause it looks awesome
F22 uses weapon bay instead of pylons, that is why it looks sleek, The 3rd gen fighter got their classic image that is unforgettable, F14/15/16/18 MIG Flanker Euro-fighter... If everything goes well I might finish these this weekend, both of them (the tank too) will be traced with neat line and rendered with my best effort. The only trouble now is a background for the tank, I think can cheat it with dessert or snow.
Yes, those weapon bays are making em look sleek, but doesn't have that fierce edge like the third generations. The tank, i'll like any mechanical designs even if they only has grey backgrounds and shadow below them. But that's just me though, dessert and snow are cool too
I think the problem of weapon bay is they carry less payload than pylons, and rarely allow variety, its kind hard to put different weapon in the same bay, you can't make them too large due to areophysics of fighter planes. They are excellent for stealth and maneuver, but not a replacement for pylons. Although the classic image does not portray, F22 does have optional pylon mounts. Also if you add an external fuel tank, you will need a pylon anyway.
true, those are true. Maybe that's why now there are many Joint Opperation-oriented weapon developed these days, to maximize compatibility with all aircraft.
I like the selection of Blended Wing Body, and the canards are a very workable shape in terms of aerodynamics. From what I can see, the engine outlets are 2D vectored thrust, which would increase maneuverability even with a heavy loadout. In all, this would make an excellent mutlirole fighter.
